Step 1: Installing 'enfuse' and 'align_image_stack'

As of version 2.00 of LR/Enfuse, which now makes use of the 'align_image_stack' application from the Hugin project as well as 'enfuse', these applications need to be downloaded and installed independantly from LR/Enfuse itself. Please read the following:

Mac OS X

Harry van der Wolf provides Universal binaries of both 'enfuse' and 'align_image_stack'. With his permission I have packaged these into a DMG file that allows for easy installation. Alternatively you can visit Harry's site and download the ZIP file, which also contains the 'enblend' application.

If you install the package into the Applications folder using our DMG distribution then LR/Enfuse will find it automatically.

Windows

'enfuse' and 'align_image_stack' have been built and placed into a convenient Windows installation package by Yuval Levy. For your convenience you can download the package from this site, or else you can get it from the Panospace website (look for Enblend/Enfuse under the Power users section).

If you install it in the default location then LR/Enfuse will find it automatically.

Step 2: Installing LR/Enfuse

Unzip the download. You should now have a plugin called 'LREnfuse.lrplugin' containing the plugin files. If your unzip program didn't keep this parent directory, then you should create it and copy your unzipped files into it.

Lightroom 2 or later

Lightroom 2 has a new plugin manager. To install using this you should:

  1. Move LREnfuse.lrplugin to a convenient location of your own choosing.
  2. Open Lightroom's plugin manager from the File menu.
  3. Click the "Add" button.
  4. Browse to the plugin and click "OK" on a Mac or "Add plugin" on a PC.

If you have donated towards the project you should unlock the trial version using the registration code that you should have received.

  1. Open the plugin manager from the File menu.
  2. Choose "LR/Enfuse" from the list of plugins.
  3. Enter your registation code into the User Registration section

Lightroom 1

Copy the LREnfuse.lrplugin directory to the appropriate location. You may need to create the "Modules" directory.

On a Mac, copy the plugin to:

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Modules
or /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Modules

On Windows XP, copy the plugin to:

C:\Documents and Users\username\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules

On Windows Vista, copy the plugin to:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Modules

You should now restart Lightroom.

If you have donated towards the project you should unlock the trial version using the registration code that you should have received.

  1. Choose Blend exposures using LR/Enfuse... from the File menu.
  2. Enter your registation code into the Registration section.
Download LR/Enfuse
(Version 3.25)

You will also need to download and install the Enfuse application for either Mac or PC.

This is a donationware product. To unlock the full functionality the author requests that you make a donation to support future development.
